ʻUkulele and Hawaiian Language (ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi)
Lito Arkangel has been a professional musician performing at mostly every venue one could think of on Hawai’i Island for the last 20 years. Whether it be for kamaʻāina or malihini (locals or tourists), Lito continues to entertain and compliment the mood of his venues treating each occasion as a unique experience to those attending. He brings this knowledge of performing to us now at Aloha Music Camp, so feel free to have a chat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner during the week to talk more about how to engage the audience in small venue settings.
Along with being a full time professional musician/entertainer, Lito is also a Lecturer at the University of Hawai’i Hilo educating students in Ethnozoology, Ethnobotany, Hawaiian Studies, and Hawaiian music. He brings with him to Camp this wonderful compendium of information in which you are sure to find many topics of interest.
Lito has been friends with Kaliko Beamer-Trapp for many years now and is going to be filling in for him at AMC 2020 teaching both ʻukulele and Hawaiian language.
We look forward to welcoming Lito onboard with us at Aloha Music Camp 2020, and we are sure you will love his dynamic and fascinating classes.
