Hula and Hawaiian Song Performance
Uluwehi Guerrero is a well known Hawaiian musician and hula instructor. “Ulu,” as he is known to his friends, was born on Maui, and studied hula with Kumu Pekelo Day. When Pekelo moved to Hilo, Ulu and Keali’i Reichel formed Hālau Hula o Ka Makani Wili Mākaha o Kauaʻula, which eventually became one of Maui’s most decorated, award-winning hālau hula (traditional hula schools).
