Pricing and Registration Information
Mohala Hou Foundation has as its mission the perpetuation of Hawaiian culture in all its aspects, particularly through education in Hawaiian music and cultural arts. Your attendance at Camp helps us to fulfill that mission – and we all have great fun together while doing so!
Aloha Music Camp 2018 sold out especially early this year (mid-April 2017), but all may not be lost if you still wish to attend! Please use our form to add yourself to our Wait List; we will contact you to let you know your position and likelihood of gaining a spot at Camp in 2018.
If you were lucky enough to have secured a spot at AMC 2018 but need to pay the remainder of your balance due, please do so using the Aloha Music Camp 2018 Balance Payment Form page.
Three Registration Types: Camper, Companion, and Keiki
The Camper full rate includes all instruction, concerts, talk-stories, and other events during the week of Camp.
The Companion non-instructional adult rate requires an accompanying full Camper registration. It includes the same items as the Camper rate, but does not include any instruction. It’s a great way to have a vacation, get caught up on some reading, or take time out by the beach, and then hang out with the rest of us whenever you like!
The Keiki rate includes the same items the adult full Camper rate, but of course is for children 12 and under. So bring those budding ʻukulele players and hula dancers to camp and let them get educated while having fun at the same time!
Meals During Camp
All registrations include all meals during Camp, as well as the special Lūʻau night including entertainment. Meals are included beginning with dinner Sunday, and continue through breakfast on Saturday.
- Camper 2018 full rate: $1750
- Companion Partner or Spouse, 2018 non-instructional rate: $1150
- Keiki (Child 12 and under), full rate: $600
A deposit of $500 per attendee per registration is required to hold your place(s) at Camp if you are not going to pay the full amount on initial registration. All “Full” registrations include the $500 deposit. Please take note of the due dates for full payment, below. You are responsible for paying the balance due by December 31, 2017, by returning to the registration page and adding the appropriate ticket(s).
Early Bird Discount
You can take advantage of our special $100 Early Bird Discount by registering and paying in full by May 1st, 2017. Early Bird Discounts apply to Camper and Companion registrations only.
Payment & Refund Dates
- May 1, 2017 – deadline for full payment of balance to retain the Early Bird $100 Discount
- Nov 30, 2017 – last day to request full refunds (including the $500 deposit)
- Dec 31, 2017 – deadline for full payment of balance on all registrations
- Feb 4, 2018 – last day of refunds minus any $500 deposits
Alternate Payment Methods
We prefer online payment by credit or debit card, however if you need to pay by check instead, please contact our Registrar via our Contact Us form to make arrangements. Please keep in mind that if Camp is near to selling out, a credit card deposit or full payment will ensure your spot immediately and is faster than a check.
Assistance & Group Discounts
If you need assistance with registration, or you wish to inquire about group discounts, please contact our Registrar by using the Contact Us form.
Classes such as ʻukulele and Steel Guitar Building, as well as classes which make hula implements will require a fee for the materials.
ʻUkulele & Steel Guitar Building
The ʻukulele and steel guitar building classes are available on a limited “first-come, first-served” basis and require a materials fee of $350 per instrument for ʻukulele and $400 for steel. There are usually seven (7) slots available for ʻukulele building and eight (8) slots available for steel guitar building.
ʻUkulele and steel-guitar making classes are available to those ages 12 and up.
Refunds are available upon request. Please use our Contact Us form to let us know your situation and we will work with you to process your refund. We regret that we will be unable to refund any $500 deposits after Nov 30, 2017.

Please note that your hotel stay is not included in the above Camper, Companion, or Keiki registrations. Be sure to book your room as soon as possible because they sell out fast, and be sure to mention that you are with Aloha Music Camp and you want the special rate.
